Complaints

Bytown Law and Joshua Chmielewski are committed to providing the highest quality of legal service and client care. If you have concerns about an invoice, the service you have received, or any other aspect of our representation, we encourage you to follow these steps:

  1. Contact Joshua Chmielewski Directly: Please communicate your concerns in writing (email is acceptable) directly to Joshua Chmielewski. Please provide specific details about the issue and the outcome you are seeking.

  2. Internal Review: Joshua will acknowledge your complaint within five (5) business days and will review the matter thoroughly and promptly. We will then communicate our findings and any proposed resolution to you.

  3. External Options: If you are not satisfied with the resolution, you have the right to contact the Law Society of Ontario (LSO). The LSO maintains a complaints resolution process for issues related to lawyer conduct and can be reached through their website or main contact line. You may also be able to pursue a cost assessment through the courts regarding fees.
